Job summary

Alameda Healthcare & Wellness Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision. The role involves assisting residents with meals, mobility, and daily activities, while adhering to facility policies and safety rules.

The CNA will perform rounds, monitor resident condition, and report concerns to the Charge Nurse. Candidates should be enrolled in a CNA program or hold a CNA license and have at least 6 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in nursing assistant program or licensed CNA.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience while in training.
• Desire to serve ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Make resident rounds at the start of each shift and every two hours thereafter.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals; report missing ID bands.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and appropriate nourishment.
• Keep residents clean, dry, and comfortable; change linens and clothing as needed.
• Attend in-service training and other duties as directed by supervisors.
