Job summary

The Laurels of Mt Pleasant is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to care for residents under supervision of a nurse. You will assist with ADLs, monitor health, document care, and support a safe, compassionate environment in Michigan.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED completed.
• Must be a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) in good standing or graduate of approved program and pass state competency exam within 120 days.
• Computer skills are required and a background check is required.
• Adherence to regulatory requirements and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding and mobility.
• Measure and record vital signs and intake/output.
• Assist with transfers and position changes using proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
• Respond to call lights and changes in resident condition; report to licensed staff.
• Maintain documentation and follow infection control guidelines.
• Support residents’ independence, dignity, and safety.
• Assist with dementia care and restorative nursing tasks.
• Perform non-resident care and general housekeeping on the unit.
