Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will support daily living activities, monitor residents, and collaborate with the nursing staff under RN supervision.

You will assist with transfers, meals, and vital signs, while following infection control and PPE guidelines. A CNA certification is required or in process; some states may require additional credentials.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred; not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with state board or in process; training provided by facility.
• Possible state-specific certifications (e.g., QMAP in Colorado).

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Document resident interactions, vital signs, and care outcomes.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and ROM exercises.
• Assist with meals and dining, offer water and supplements.
• Maintain infection prevention policies and PPE usage.
