Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional and technical nursing staff in patient care across Orange and Irvine locations. Primary duties include vital signs, hygiene assistance, and maintaining a clean, safe unit environment.

Qualifications include CNA/LVN or enrollment in a nursing program with at least one clinical semester, English proficiency, current BLS, and the ability to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must float between Orange and Irvine locations.
• Must read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse, or nursing program with at least 1 clinical semester.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Stock unit supplies and operate hospital equipment as directed.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and assist with related duties.
