UCI Health in Orange is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support nurses and deliver essential patient care across Orange and Irvine campuses. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene and elimination, and maintaining a clean and safe unit environment.

Qualified applicants will have CNA or LVN certification, BLS, ability to work weekends/holidays, and willingness to float between locations.

Qualificações

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to float between Orange and Irvine locations as needed.
• Nursing Assistants hired prior to May 2010 who did not possess CNA certification aren’t required to obtain it now.
• Must read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Must be CNA, LVN, or enrolled in an accredited nursing program with at least 1 clinical semester completed.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic way.
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (AHA issued).
• Approved workplace violence responder training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Taking and recording vital signs and assisting with patient care tasks.
• Assists with hygiene and elimination needs and maintains a clean, safe unit environment.
• Assists with stocking unit supplies and operating hospital equipment as directed.
• Performs routine clerical tasks and supports other related duties as assigned.
