Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support Registered Nurses in patient care at our Illinois facilities. You will perform delegated patient care tasks, assist with hygiene, meals, and mobility, and help maintain a clean, safe unit. Training and certifications, including BLS and CNA, are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days.
• CPI training within 3 months.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• CNA coursework completed within past 24 months.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
• At least one nursing clinical experience.
• CNA work within past 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care activities as delegated by the nurse.
• Provides hygiene needs of assigned patients and basic health support.
• Distributes meals, assists with feeding, and records intake.
• Assists with elimination needs and catheter care; documents output.
• Maintains a clean, safe patient environment and stocks supplies.
• Responds to call lights promptly and assists with transfers as needed.
• Supports unit maintenance and teamwork to improve patient care.
