Job summary

Great River Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. The role covers a wide patient population, from adult medical/surgical to telemetry and psychiatric care, with duties including ADLs, documentation, specimen collection, and safety monitoring.

Responsibilities also include responding to call lights, assisting in admissions and transfers, and ensuring patient safety and comfort on a shift that runs 6:00am–6:30pm,

Qualifications

• Computer experience required.
• Healthcare experience within the last five years preferred.
• Emergency First Response and Choking within 90 days of hire.
• MOAB within 12 months of hire.
• Restraint training completed after hire.

Responsibilities

• Answer patients’ call lights promptly and fulfill requests.
• Perform skin assessments and report abnormal findings to the licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and keep patient rooms clean.
• Collect and label specimens and transport them as needed.
• Document activities in the medical record accurately and timely.
• Provide basic patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
