Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification from state.
• Maintain CPR Certification
• High School Graduate or GED

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) to residents daily and as needed.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident room.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and food consumption.
• Turn and position residents to prevent discomfort and injuries.
• Observe residents and report changes to the Charge Nurse.
• Assist in collecting data for MDS and care plan development.
• Provide hydration to residents at regular intervals as needed.
• Assist with meal prep and transport to dining room; help residents who cannot feed themselves.
• Keep accurate records of food intake and output.
• Assist nursing staff with aseptic techniques and infection prevention.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records.
