Job summary

Qualifications

• GED or HSED or high school graduate.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and ambulation.
• Measure and document vital signs and intake/output in EMR.
• Perform rounding and promptly communicate observations to RN.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes and room setup.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Handle errands and maintain stock in nursing area; clean equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and transporting using proper technique.
• Support dietary needs and skin care; manage special patient supplies.
• May remove IVs, provide post mortem care, and perform bladder scans per policy.
• Follow infection prevention policies and wear appropriate PPE.
• Document patient data and ensure age-specific care requirements are met.
