Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be NJ-certified CNA.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows the plan of care and attends meetings as assigned.
• Provides personal care to residents (bathing, nail care, shaving, etc.) and assists with dressing.
• Follows infection control procedures and PPE usage.
• Provides skin care and reports skin changes to nurse.
• Maintains resident privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Assesses resident comfort levels and documents appropriately.
• Provides restorative care as indicated and supports mobility.
• Performs routine catheter care and cares for residents with tubes or special equipment.
• Transports residents to activities and ensures call bells are answered.
• Assists with meals and feeds residents when needed.
• Follows fall prevention protocols to reduce risk.
• Collects lab specimens as directed and reports changes to nurse.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and assists with bedside cares.
