Job summary

Preferred Care Management in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide vital support across inpatient and long-term care settings, assisting nursing staff with daily care tasks to promote residents' comfort and well‑being.

Responsibilities include observing residents, reporting health issues to the supervising nurse, assisting with personal hygiene, meal setup and intake, feeding, bedmaking, transporting residents, turning bedridden patients to prevent bedsores,

Qualifications

• State certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology is essential.
• Previous inpatient/long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including ICU settings if required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others.
• Experience with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Observing Residents
• Reporting health issues to the supervising nurse
• Taking care of a Resident's personal hygiene, including bed bath, shaving etc.
• Setting up of meal trays, and documenting food/fluid intake
• Feeding Residents & serving nutritional supplements
• Making beds & keeping the Residents' space clean and tidy
• Transporting Residents within the Facility
• Turning bedridden residents to prevent bedsores
• Maintaining confidentiality of all Resident & Facility data
