Job summary

Kindred Hospital Greensboro is seeking a CNA to assist nursing personnel in providing patient care in a long-term acute care setting. You will help patients with daily activities, provide emotional support, and perform basic clinical skills under RN direction.

The role requires striving for accuracy in vital signs, documentation, and adherence to facility policies, with emphasis on teamwork, safety, and compassionate patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families, and facility staff.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• Approximate travel time: 0-10%.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care.
• Support patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Record vital signs and inputs/outputs accurately in the EHR.
• Prepare patient room and beds, ambulatory equipment and supplies.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Respond to patient call lights and paging systems.
• Assist with restraints under RN guidance and ensure proper positioning.
• Support RN/LPN with complex patient treatments.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Help patients with range of motion and movement to wheelchairs or activity areas.
• Document restorative services per facility policies.
• Attend interdisciplinary care plan meetings.
• Maintain clean, safe and comfortable patient rooms.
