Job summary

Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist nursing staff in providing compassionate patient care in a long-term acute care setting. You will help patients with daily living activities, monitor condition changes, and support safe, clean environments.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, BCLS certification, and preferably CNA certification. Prior LTC experience is a plus; 0% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred CNA certification.
• Willingness to perform essential patient care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Consult with supervisor and report unit activities and problems.
• Provide general nursing care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Record vital signs accurately and document timely.
• Prepare rooms/equipment for admissions/transfers and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Answer call lights and paging, responding to patient needs.
• Under RN direction, perform routine treatments as assigned.
• Assist with feeding and meal service to patients.
• Transport patients and assist with post-mortem care when needed.
