Job summary

Good Samaritan Society - Mandan Sunset is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a 128-bed long-term care facility. You will assist with daily living activities, maintain comfort, and work under the supervision of a registered nurse to follow care plans.

The role emphasizes infection prevention, proper PPE use, and compassionate, respectful interactions with residents. Training is provided, with opportunities to participate in wellness and recreational activities.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly competency testing and maintains continuing education credits.
• State-specific UAP Registry, if applicable.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver with driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using safe techniques.
• Record vital signs and monitor health status per care plan.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and dining to create a positive dining experience.
• Support housekeeping and laundry and document resident interactions.
