Bethesda Health Group is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide bedside care and support under the supervision of a Charge Nurse. You will document accurately, assist with hygiene, nutrition, ambulation and safety, and participate in rounds and admissions.

The position requires active CNA certification, CPR, and a willingness to obtain within six months if needed. Excellent communication and physical stamina are essential for success in this role at our Missouri facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required in state of work.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques with assistance as needed.
• Ability to transfer and move patients who weigh 200+ lbs with assistance as needed.
• Ability to push and pull equipment weighing more than 40 lbs with assistance as needed.
• Manual dexterity and coordination for patient care tasks.
• Ability to document accurately in writing or using a device.
• Good visual acuity to distinguish colors.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support relating to hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, and safety under Charge Nurse guidance.
• Accurately document into patient records and charting systems.
• Complete admission paperwork and orient residents to the facility.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs throughout the shift.
• Conduct rounds, reposition residents, and assist with mobility.
• Take and report vital signs, intake/output as directed.
• Ensure proper use of care devices and equipment as ordered.
• Communicate with team members and management to maintain quality care.
