Job summary

Galloway Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide daily living assistance and monitor residents in an assisted living environment in Ohio. You will support health and wellness initiatives, document care, and help maintain a safe, respectful atmosphere for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, conducting plan-of-care activities, reporting changes to nurses, and participating in ongoing education and training to uphold

Qualifications

• Education: high school or equivalent.
• One (1) years’ experience in long‑term care preferred.
• CNA certification required.
• CPR certified preferred.
• Must have a strong understanding of the English language, sufficient to speak, read and write.

• Completes all hours of state mandated continuing education each year.
• Promotes and displays a spirit of teamwork in performance of daily duties through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

• Promotes the property in a positive manner and effectively communicates the organization’s values to residents, visitors, co-workers, and the community.
• Carries out daily plan of care including all aspects of basic daily living and personal care needs.
• Executes daily activities for residents as scheduled.
• Serves and assists residents with meals.
• Knows location of assigned residents within the community.
• Listens and responds to the needs of residents and staff members.
• Monitors residents’ general medical condition and reports changes to the appropriate nurse and manager.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of residents.
• Maintains current and accurate records through use of computers and/or other documentation in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Attend all-employee and departmental meetings and in-service training as scheduled or as directed.
• Assist in maintaining a calm atmosphere.
• Report any unusual behavior of a resident to the Assisted Living Manager or Memory Care Manager.
• Learns, understands, and maintains residents’ rights.
• Follows established infection control and standard precaution policies, fire, and safety policies, and practices good body mechanics.
• Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.
