Job summary

Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs in Silver Bay is seeking part-time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) / Health Services Technicians (HST) to provide compassionate resident care in a long-term care setting. The role requires flexible shifts, including day, evening, and night, with a rotating schedule and a strong emphasis on safety and dignity.

Hours per two-week pay period will meet facility needs, and initial health and dental benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Nursing Assistant with the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry, or willingness to enroll in the home’s CNA training.
• Must complete CNA course and registry enrollment within four months of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care for residents in a long-term nursing facility.
• Assist with activities of daily living, ensure safety and quality of care.
• Help residents attain their highest functional capabilities in a respectful environment.
