Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant to deliver resident-centered care and daily living support under supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with basic health care needs, vital signs, and activities of daily living, while following infection prevention guidelines and caring for residents with compassion.

The role requires CNA certification with the State Board (or in process), flexibility for day/evening/night/weekend shifts, and participation in wellness

Qualifications

• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing is required or in process within four months.
• GED or high school diploma is preferred but not required.
• Must complete yearly competency testing and 12 hours of CE annually.
• May be certified as Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding and other activities of daily living.
• Record vital signs and document resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Maintain infection control practices and assist with mobility and transfers.
