Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. The role supports daily living activities, monitors health needs, and collaborates with the nursing team under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, meals, vital signs, transfers, and documentation. The position requires CNA certification and a commitment to infection prevention and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be CNA certified with the State Board of Nursing or in process of certification.
• Prior long-term care experience preferred.
• Completion of yearly competency testing and continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and meals.
• Support with vital signs, transfers, and mobility.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to nurses.
