Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, resident-centered care in Canistota, SD. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health needs, and support the care team under supervision of a registered nurse.

Flex shifts and scheduling are common, with shifting day/evening/night/weekend coverage. Join a not-for-profit with 100+ years of senior housing and services experience.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with State Board or in process of certification
• GED or high school diploma preferred
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience is preferred
• Annual competency testing and continuing education requirements (minimum 12 hours)

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision
• Assist with activities of daily living, i.e., bathing, dressing, grooming, nutrition and mobility
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to charge nurse
• Assist with meals, dining, housekeeping and laundry to support resident wellbeing
