Job summary

Good Samaritan is hiring a Nursing Assistant at the Canistota Center in Canistota, SD. The NA will provide resident-centered care during a variety of shifts, assist with daily living activities, and support the nursing team under an RN's supervision.

Duties include bathing, feeding, vital signs, transfers, ROM, and meal assistance. The position offers a sign-on bonus, premium pay and a comprehensive benefits package; eligibility depends on full-time or part-time status.

Qualifications

Must have CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or be enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months.
Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Annual competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education are required.
May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver; must have a valid driver’s license and be medically qualified to drive.

Responsibilities

Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital signs; support basic health care needs.
Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, ROM and passive exercises.
Assist with meals, hydration, and wellness/recreational programs; document outcomes.
