Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society delivers resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision in Oberlin, KS. You will follow care plans, support activities of daily living, and help maintain comfort and safety for residents.

Responsibilities include vital signs, range of motion, and psychosocial support, with opportunities for advancement and benefits. CNA certification and ongoing ED credits are required or pursued as applicable.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with State Board of Nursing, or in process within four months.
Annual continuing education minimum 12 hours; maintain required certifications.
When applicable, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver requiring MVR and valid license.

Responsibilities

Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance per care plan.
Assist with transferring, positioning, range of motion and mood support as needed.
Document resident interactions and communicate changes to charge nurse; collect vital signs.
