Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily supportive care to residents in a mindful, resident-directed environment. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while assisting with activities of daily living.

You will respond to call lights, document care, and participate in care plans, while supporting residents and families with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Illinois is required.
• Desire to be part of a person-centered care team.
• Must be able to communicate with residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintains residents’ comfort and provides physical care with activities of daily living per scope of practice.
• Responds to residents’ call lights and requests; reports observations to the nurse.
• Assists residents with personal care needs and promotes independence where possible.
• Observes residents to identify changing needs and communicates with nursing staff.
• Participates in residents’ care/service plans to improve their lives.
• Assists during mealtimes; feeds residents who need full assistance.
• Builds meaningful relationships with residents and families; provides compassionate support.
• Supports residents’ involvement in daily activities and decision making.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed staff guidance.
• Documents care provided in clinical records.
