Job summary

Lutheran Homes Of South Carolina Inc in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality personal care per resident plans, including bathing, dressing, grooming and ambulation. You will support residents' comfort, dignity, and privacy at all times.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, documenting care, assisting with meals, mobility, and maintaining a safe environment while adhering to HIPAA and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of state-approved CNA training program and current certification.
• Previous experience in a long-term care facility preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team and document care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care per each resident's plan of care, including ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation).
• Monitor residents' vital signs, document care provided and residents' responses.
• Interact with residents warmly and promptly respond to call lights and requests.
• Assist with meals, encourage hydration, and provide quality customer service.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean environment; report hazards and equipment issues.
• Follow HIPAA, infection control guidelines, and complete required trainings.
• Transport residents within the community and assist with mobility as needed.
