Job summary

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Regency at Bluffs Park in Michigan. The CNA will care for residents under supervision, assist with daily living activities, and support licensed staff in delivering individualized care.

Shifts include 8- and 12-hour options with PRN availability. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and compassionate care, with responsibilities ranging from direct resident care to documentation and routine monitoring.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED is required.
• Must be a State Tested Nursing Assistant in good standing or graduate of a state approved CNA program with competency exam completed within 120 days of employment.
• Criminal background check requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight and meal intake as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
• Respond to call lights and resident needs; report observations to licensed staff.
• Support residents' independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility procedures.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
