Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the certification board or graduate of a state approved CNA training program and passed a state approved competency exam within 120 days.
• High School Graduate/GED required.
• Meets all state and federal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs and intake/output.
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
• Respond promptly to call lights and report observations to nursing staff.
• Maintain safety, dignity, and comfort; document timely per procedures.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions; provide emotional support.
• Promote resident independence and monitor changes in condition.
• Contribute to residents’ assessment and plan of care.
• Perform housekeeping tasks on the unit and assist with resident transport to activities.
