Job summary

Luther Ridge at Middletown Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care in accordance with state laws and facility standards.

You will report any unusual signs to the nurse in charge and document vital signs, weights, and care activities. You will assist with meals, hygiene, and transfers using approved equipment, maintain confidentiality, observe safety procedures, participate in trainings, and support residents’ rights and quality of life while delivering

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant with current State certification required.
• Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
• Ability to feed, bathe and dress residents.
• Must relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset people.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and ensure needs are met according to laws and facility standards.
• Report any unusual signs and symptoms to the nurse in charge.
• Complete and document BP, TPR, and weights of residents.
• Accurately document on Nursing Assistant Flow Sheets, bath, bowel and restraint records.
• Safeguard residents wearing restraints and conduct safety rounds at start and end of shifts.
• Assist with meals and feeding, record nutrition percentages, and report to the nurse.
• Maintain confidentiality and promote residents' rights and quality of life.
• Attend mandatory meetings and trainings and fulfill in-service requirements.
• Assist staff and residents in emergency situations.
