Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under an RN supervision. You will help with bathing, feeding, mobility, vital signs, and care planning, while following infection control policies and using protective equipment.

This role supports a warm, Christian environment and participates in wellness activities. Full-time, day shift, every other weekend and holiday; $18.50–$25.50 per hour plus a $10,000 sign-on

Qualifications

• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing or in progress.
• Minimum age 16; high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Annual continuing education minimum 12 hours.
• UAP Registry certification when applicable.
• Possibility of Sanford driver role if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to RN.
• Support meals, hydration, and dining experience.
• Assist with transfers, ROM exercises and basic health tasks.
