Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in long-term care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily living activities and support basic health care needs per the care plan.

Responsibilities include helping residents with meals, transfers, and documenting care; you will follow infection control policies and use PPE as required. This role requires CNA certification and ongoing competency testing.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with State Board required or in process.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, meals, and documentation of resident care.
