Job summary

The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under an RN's supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support care plans while following infection prevention and PPE protocols.

This union position offers day shifts, a 32-hour week, and salary range of $22.60–$23.70 per hour, with generous night/weekend differentials, a $5,000 sign-on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs.
• Assists residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment.
• Provides range of motion and passive exercises; assists with meals and dining; supports wellness and recreational activities.
