Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide direct care to residents in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include hygiene, nutrition, mobility, safety, and accurate charting under the direction of the Charge Nurse.

The position requires an active CNA certification with CPR, high school diploma preferred, and excellent communication. Regular status employees are eligible for benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the state you will be working.
• CPR certification, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety under supervision.
• Document appropriately into patient records per guidelines and unit standards.
• Orient new residents and ensure proper admission procedures.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs; complete rounds and rounds as assigned.
• Turn and reposition residents every 2 hours; assist with lifting and transferring as needed.
