Job summary

UVM Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to provide direct resident care, including hygiene and activities of daily living, under RN supervision. You will support the unit/department as assigned by a Registered Nurse or manager.

Required NY certification as a Nurse Aide and state-approved Long Term Care training; high school diploma or GED expected or to be obtained within two years. Prior CNA experience is a plus, and pre-employment screenings apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required, or must be obtained within two (2) years of hire.
• Completion of a New York State-approved Long Term Care training program and current New York State Nurse Aide certification required.
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Must meet all pre-employment screening and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• The Certified Nurse Aide provides direct care to residents, including hygiene and activities of daily living, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• The Certified Nurse Aide also performs support functions for the unit/department as assigned by the appropriate Registered Nurse and/or manager.
