Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification as a Kansas CNA is required.
• Provides nursing functions under supervision of licensed staff.
• Reads and follows daily care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, and positioning.
• Assist with patients’ recreation programs.
• Prepare patients for meals and snacks, assist eating, and record intake.
• Read and follow daily care plans.
• Report changes in patient condition to nurse in charge.
• Document care on patient records/flow sheets as required.
• Provide nursing functions as directed by licensed nurse, supervisor or manager.
• Promote patient rights and professional appearance.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge of residents.
