Job summary

The Certified Nurse Aide provides direct care to residents under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, including hygiene and daily living activities, in accordance with NYS regulations.

The role includes supporting the unit/department as assigned and meeting pre-employment requirements, with priority given to internal candidates per the Collective Bargaining Agreement. This is an on-site position at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or must be obtained within two years of hire.
• Completion of a New York State-approved Long Term Care training program and current New York State Nurse Aide certification required.
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Must meet all pre-employment screening and physical requirements.
