Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to assist with medication administration under physician and nurse supervision. You will follow nursing standards and community policies, keeping accurate charts and preserving resident confidentiality.

Ideal candidates hold a valid CMA certification, possess basic computer skills, and can read/write English. Ability to work collaboratively with the care team and willingness to work variable shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA certification in good standing with the state.
• Must have basic computer skills to document medication administration.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours and on weekends when required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering prescribed medications under supervision.
• Follow established nursing standards and community policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Keep medication cart and room clean and organized.
• Document medication administration accurately and promptly.
• Report any medication errors immediately.
• Assist in reporting and addressing any resident abuse or neglect concerns.
