Job summary

Midwest Health Inc. seeks a Certified Medication Aide to assist in administering medications as ordered by the physician, under supervision.

You will maintain medication carts, document administration accurately, protect resident privacy, and follow state and Community policies. The role requires CMA certification, basic computer skills, and English proficiency, with occasional on‑call hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA certification in good standing with the state.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Community policies and procedures.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered by the physician or Medical Director.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Protect resident privacy and document any refusals or adverse reactions.
• Observe and verify medication ingestion or topical application.
• Report suspected abuse/neglect and participate in surveys as required.
• Assist with self-administering medications and monitor ongoing needs.
