Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for St. Charles Hospital to support the primary care physician, review patient records, measure vital signs, and prepare examination rooms.

The candidate will ensure documentation accuracy, coordinate with staff, and uphold patient-focused care standards. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCCT certification, and preferred experience in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCCT certification from approved bodies (or ABR-OE acceptable where applicable).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of medical assistant experience preferred; 2 years clerical in a physician's office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community in a respectful manner.
• Review and update health records and prepare treatment rooms.
• Measure vital signs and prepare patients for examinations.
• Perform clerical duties: verify records, track referrals, answer phones.
