Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant at St. Charles Hospital to support the primary care team in delivering quality patient care. You will review and update health records, measure vitals, and prep treatment rooms for examinations.

The role requires MA certification and a high school degree, with BLS and clerical experience valued. Work hours are days, with competitive pay and benefits offered by Mercy Health.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Active Medical Assisting certification from CMA, RMA, CCMA, NHA, NRCMA, NCMA or equivalent.
• ABR-OE acceptable if MA certification unavailable (not SC).
• BLS required at hire for certain Mercy Health locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community with excellent customer service.
• Prepare and review patient charts for upcoming visits and verify test results and records.
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height).
• Perform clerical duties (inventory, referrals, answering phones).
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
