Job summary

Bristol Hospice in Fresno, CA is hiring a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to support the Interdisciplinary Team. Work under RN supervision performing personal care and comfort measures for patients in their homes.

The ideal candidate holds California CNA and HHA certifications, CPR, and at least 75 hours of training. Prior hospice or community health experience is preferred. Driver's license and background check required.

Qualifications

• Must be CNA in good standing and CA HHA certified.
• One year experience in community health/hospice preferred.
• Driver with insured vehicle and background check compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care after patient assignment and report to Case Manager.
• Provide patient and family with respectful communication and confidentiality.
• Meet safety needs and use equipment properly (foot stools, rails, O2, etc.).
• Assist with bathing, grooming, meals, and transfers as assigned.
• Take and record vital signs when ordered.
• Assist in ambulation and exercise as directed by hospice staff.
• Maintain patient living area clean and orderly and document care activities.
