Job summary

Heritage Home Health & Hospice in Idaho Falls, ID seeks a Chaplain to support patients and families within a home-based care setting. The Chaplain collaborates with nurses, social workers, and therapists to provide spiritual care and information while adhering to agency policies and procedures.

The role requires knowledge of healthcare and EMRs/EHRs, CPR BLS certification, and ecclesiastical endorsement, with an emphasis on compassionate, compliant care across the care team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthcare and EMRs/EHRs.
• 1 year home health/hospice experience preferred.
• Knowledge and skill with computers, fax machines, and healthcare systems.
• Ability to learn industry-specific software and documentation applications.
• Current CPR BLS certification.
• Accreditation by a chaplain organization preferred.
• Ecclesiastical endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients, families, and other healthcare professionals with needed care and information.
• Chaplain is the point of contact for all spiritual needs in patient care.
• Follow agency, state, and federal policies and procedures.
• Report to the administrator and attend meetings as required.
