Job summary

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is seeking a Chaplain with hospice experience to join our interdisciplinary team. The Chaplain provides direct spiritual support to patients and families in keeping with their beliefs and coordinates with staff and community groups.

This role requires ordination or ecclesiastical endorsement, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a high-stress home care environment. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for continuing education.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a high-stress home care setting.
• Open, sensitive, and ecumenical approach to spiritual care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct spiritual support to patients and families in line with their beliefs.
• Collaborate with staff, clergy and community groups to address spiritual needs and report on services.
• Provide consultation and education for patients, families and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide bereavement follow-up services as defined by Hospice.
• Maintain accurate records of patient visits and activities.
• Perform liturgical duties such as memorial services when indicated.
