Job summary

Heritage Home Health & Hospice in Idaho seeks a Chaplain to provide spiritual care for patients and families, coordinating with nurses, social workers, and therapists to support holistic patient well-being.

The Chaplain will follow agency policies, maintain CPR/BLS certification, and support diverse patient populations in home health and hospice settings, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• One year of home health and hospice experience preferred.
• Knowledge and skill with computers, fax machines, and healthcare systems.
• Ability to learn industry-specific software and documentation applications.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ecclesiastical endorsement required; chaplain accreditation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients, families, and other healthcare professionals with needed care and information.
• Chaplain is the point of contact for all spiritual needs in patient care.
• Follow agency, state, and federal policies and procedures; report to the administrator and attend meetings as required.

Responsibilities

Heritage Chaplains work with company nurses, social workers, and therapists to provide patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals with needed care and information. The Chaplain is a point of contact for all spiritual needs in patient care. The Chaplain follows agency, state, and federal policies and procedures. The Chaplain reports to the administrator and attends meetings as required.

AAs must meet the following requirements:

• Know about healthcare and EMRs/EHRs
• A minimum of one year of home health and hospice experience is preferred but not required
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill with computers, fax machines, and healthcare systems
• General knowledge of computers and the ability to learn industry-specific software and documentation applications
• Have a current CPR BLS certification
• Accredidation by a chaplain organization is preferred but not required
• An ecclesiastical endorsement is required
