Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a talented Certified Medical Assistant for per diem shifts at the Cancer Center in Fall River, MA. Under supervision, you will support patient care, assist providers with procedures, and help maintain efficient clinic flow.

Qualifications include completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent, high school diploma, and BLS certification. EMR experience and bilingual capabilities are a plus; certification timelines apply.

Qualifications

• Must complete four years of high school or equivalent plus specialized courses and training.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent clinical office experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• National third-party certification (AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NCMA) within 13 months if not certified at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Support efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office.
• Handle telephone communications with patients, including test results and schedules.
• Update and access patient information using an EMR system while maintaining privacy.
