Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities at our Delaware community. The role involves helping with meals, mobility, and daily routines, while ensuring safety and comfort under staff supervision.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, complete a PCA program, and be able to communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have completed approved PCA program per state regulations.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of staff.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods; lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Able to represent the community professionally and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Perform housekeeping tasks in resident areas as directed.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Report incidents and status updates to the nursing team and supervisor.
• Assist new residents with move-in and provide emotional support.
• Follow all policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality.
