Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC seeks a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities.

The role involves documenting incidents, assisting with meals, housekeeping, mobility, and participating in activities. You will work with the nursing team and must be able to work weekends and holidays. CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days is required or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State-approved PCA program completion required.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days preferred or willing.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents to appropriate staff (HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident rooms, common areas and dining room as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Check on residents and ensure attendance at meals and activities; report ill status.
• Communicate resident status, appointments, admissions, and transfers in writing.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings; follow supervisor instructions.
