Job summary
At Peace Healthcare Agency is seeking compassionate Caregivers / Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide one-on-one, non-medical personal care, companionship, and daily living support in clients' homes. You will help with bathing, grooming, ADLs, meal prep, light housekeeping, and mobility, while maintaining dignity and independence.
The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of personal care experience, reliable transportation, and passes background checks.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of personal care experience preferred.
- Proof of current TB testing required
- Must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position
- Must have reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing and grooming
- Provide toileting and incontinence care
- Assist with dressing and personal hygiene
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Help clients maintain their dignity and independence
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding
- Perform light housekeeping
- Assist with laundry
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Assist clients with daily routines
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Encourage independence and social engagement
- Assist clients with appropriate daily activities
- Develop a respectful and supportive relationship with clients
- Mobility assistance (ambulation, transfers)
- Provide medication reminders
- Assist with transportation to medical appointments and errands
