Avamere at Englewood Heights in Yakima, WA is seeking a Caregiver for part-time and full-time positions. Shifts include Evening (Sun-Thurs) and Day on weekends, with a wage of $19-$21/hr DOE. The role covers ADLs, emotional support, housekeeping, and resident safety.

The job supports a warm, compassionate environment with opportunities to assist with health monitoring, companionship, and daily activities in a memory care/assisted living setting.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit and/or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• A genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Personal Hygiene, Mobility, Meal Preparation.
• Emotional Support and Companionship: Provide empathy, conversations and social engagement.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment including laundry and tidying.
• Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy: Observe health changes and report concerns to staff.
• Other: Answer calls promptly and maintain confidentiality; assist with orientation of new residents and staff; perform other duties as assigned.
