Job summary

Fieldstone Memory Care of Yakima is seeking a dedicated caregiver to join our team. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, provide companionship, and help ensure their safety and comfort in a warm, resident-centered environment.

The role involves meal prep, mobility support, light housekeeping, documentation, and teamwork with nurses and staff. We value empathy, reliability, and strong communication with residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiving experience, preferably in senior care.
• Completion of required caregiver training and certifications, if applicable.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature with a special interest in working with the senior population.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Responsibilities

• Provide care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and exercises.
• Engage residents in conversation, games, and activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe living environment.
• Monitor safety and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Communicate with residents, families, and team members about well-being.
• Document care provided and changes in residents' conditions.
• Work as part of a caregiving team with nurses and staff.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
