Job summary

Friendship Community Care, Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional to join an interdisciplinary team delivering care in home and community settings.

You will assist clients with daily living tasks, provide transportation, and maintain accurate documentation to support each client’s plan of care. The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and respectful interaction with clients and their families, along with adherence to organizational policies and HIPAA rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two+ years' experience working with developmentally disabled individuals is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living tasks (e.g., bathing, dressing, housekeeping, meal planning).
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments as needed.
• Complete required documentation (behavioral and progress reports, forms, logs) accurately and timely.
• Report incidents or emergencies to supervisors immediately; adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
• Engage clients in recreational activities and model appropriate behavior; maintain vehicle and facility cleanliness.
