Job summary

MBK Senior Living in Oregon is seeking a caring and reliable caregiver for the night shift. You will support residents with daily living activities, maintain dignity, and provide compassionate service in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities include following care plans, assisting with bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, and safety checks while documenting changes and communicating with supervisors to ensure resident comfort and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older or have the proper work permit and work authorization documentation
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Nurses Aide certification preferred
• Current first aid certification
• Background clearances as required by government regulations
• Health screening with negative TB test within 6 months or within 7 days of employment
• Prior caregiving experience preferred but on-the-job training available
• Must be able to read and speak English
• Ability to follow oral and written directions
• Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident needs promptly while maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, safety and confidentiality
• Read and follow care plans to ensure proper care
• Assist residents in daily living activities including bathing, dressing, hygiene and related tasks
• Assist at mealtime with meals, serving, and delivering room trays
• Escort residents safely to/from meals, activities, or transportation needs
• Perform regular safety checks on residents
• Encourage participation in daily activities such as bed making and laundry
• Lead residents in meaningful and life-enriching activities
• Manage oxygen equipment per MD orders
• Document appropriate information and report changes to supervisor
• Respond promptly to resident alerts and emergencies
• Ensure resident safety during drills
